Abstract

This case demonstrates a successful use of innovative MultiNeO™ Implants with the advanced Nano Hydrophilic Surface NiNA™ in a 78-year-old patient, requiring comprehensive anterior restoration, combined with CAD/CAM technique.

Case Overview

The patient, a 78-year-old female in good systemic health, presented with generalized bone loss caused by periodontal disease, along with penetrating caries and failing restorations in the lower anterior sector. Seeking functional and aesthetic rehabilitation, the treatment was planned using digital tools to ensure optimal outcomes.

Treatment Workflow

  1. Initial Assessment and Planning: During the first visit, active caries were treated, periodontal cleaning was performed, and radiographic examinations, including CBCT, were conducted. A digital scan allowed for the precise design of the restoration and evaluation of bone availability.
    - Teeth 34, 33, 32, 31, 41, and 42 were defined hopeless and planned for extraction.

  1. Implant Placement: MultiNeO™ Implants with Nano Hydrophilic Surface NiNA™ (D3.75 x L11.5 mm) were placed in positions 41, 32, and 33. The hydrophilic NiNA™ surface facilitated early osseointegration.
  2. Provisional Restoration: Cylindrical temporary abutments were used to fabricate the provisional bridge freehand. This step ensured immediate functionality while creating the emergence profile and proper soft tissue healing. The position of the immediate provisional bridge was confirmed by a post-op X-ray.

  1. Definitive Prosthetic Work: After sufficient healing time, a digitally planned screw-retained zirconia bridge was delivered, mounted on non-engaged Ti- bases.
  2. Follow-Up: At the 5-month and 1-year follow-ups, clinical and radiographic evaluations demonstrated excellent implant to bone level stability and soft tissue health.

Why MultiNeO™ and NiNA™ Technology?

The success of this case was made possible by the innovative features of the MultiNeO™ Implant with Nano Hydrophilic Surface NiNA™:

  • Primary Stability: MultiNeO™ implants offer superior stability even in compromised bone conditions, making them ideal for immediate loading, due to its microgeometry design.
  • Enhanced Osseointegration: The hydrophilic NiNA™ surface, combine with nano scale roughness accelerates bone cell attachment, leading to faster osseointegration.
  • Digital Precision: Integration of CAD/CAM technology ensured a precise fit and high-quality prosthetic outcome.

Clinical Results

This case demonstrate how immediate loading using MultiNeO™ Implants and CAD/CAM technology is providing excellent results.

Conclusion

The combination of MultiNeO™ Implants with NiNA™ Nano Hydrophilic Surface and CAD/CAM restorations offers a smooth workflow for immediate loading cases. By using the combination of digital tools and implant technologies, the clinician can deliver predictable outcomes that intended to improve patient satisfaction and contributing to quality of life.
